A while back I posted a recipe for Spinach and Sun Dried Tomato Dip. I asked my friend “The Idea Goddess” if she had tried it yet but, she said she was waiting for a special occasion. The thing is, you can use this dip for all sorts of things. You’ll just have to check back to read about all of them. Here, though, is my first installment of Spinach and Sun Dried Tomato Dip more ways than you might think.
Recently while visiting family in Washington State, I learned about a cool website called Cronometer. You can use it to track your daily calorie intake, as well as vitamin, mineral and protein values. The whole idea behind this is, to stay healthy while losing, or maintaining your weight. To do this, you not only want to track your calories, but other nutritional values as well. Cronometer.com allows you to do this and then some. Sign up for a free account, enter what you eat for the day and you will have a complete nutritional tracking to maintain your weight or to lose the amount you choose when you set up your profile.
You know spring is arriving when the asparagus is on sale. Ah spring, it is finally peaking through winter’s gray. Little hints of green here and there. And then there is the beautiful green asparagus, one of my favorite spring foods. It’s in the store now and it’s dirt cheap. I love it with pasta, in omelets and frittatas. I love it grilled and roasted. And, I love this Asparagus Lemon Soup. It has all that yummy asparagus flavor and just a hint of lemon. The yogurt or cream makes it luxurious and yet the lemon makes it refreshing. It is equally good served hot or cold. I love a soup with that kind of versatility.
